Romantic love is more than just a simple feeling. It encompasses powerful emotions, devotion, longing, and connection to someone. It is one of the most fascinating psychological and emotional states. In psychology, love is described as passionate and companionate. Passionate love is infatuation trained to high admiration and emotional rollers, while companionate love is established with trust, care, and intimacy built over time. In other terms, love, with all the combinations and relations, constantly alters one’s physiological state and it powerfully motivates the brain, giving it the inclination to earn and to approach, and in some cultures and some cases, steer relation toward the more personal and the more social. It can increase well-being, and can also be the cause of emotional pain, distress, and withdrawal, especially when the love is misplaced, unreciprocated or unstable. Explaining and understanding romantic love helps explain a person’s emotional attachment, and utilize emotional frameworks in therapy.
