Dionysian

Dionysian is a psychological state or behavior that is predominantly characterized as instinctive, passionate, uncontrolled, spontaneous, and devoid of reason or moderation. The expression is taken from Nietzsche’s conceptual contrast of the Dionysian and the Apollonian mind. The Dionysian metaphorically and literally represents the chaotic and passionate, as well as the constructive and emotional aspects of a personality. The Dionysian disposition is averse to stringent order or rationality and is predominantly characterized by freedom, joy, and embracing a unified experience. For example, wild, unrestrained, joyous and passionate dancing at a concert, where all else is forgotten, is a pure manifestation of the Dionysian.
